every other plugin crashes the session, locks it up or makes it unresponsive with the wheel of death. I did install on my Mac Pro and for the past 2 days it has been nothing but a crash fest. The laptop was somewhat stable although it seems that it crashes when I either try to open VMR or VBC or actually when i try to take the plugin off an insert. This computer is native only so I use it to test updates and installs before putting my studio Mac Pro (2.8 8 core 16gig) on the chopping block.
I have a macbook pro (2012) running PT 10.3.10 HD and OS 10.7.5. So i'm not sure this this was resolved, but I just got the everything bundle. I appreciate any ideas or help I can get. I'm using an iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB of RAM, OS X 10.9.3 and Pro Tools 11. But again, everything seems to be fine now in terms of iLok stuff and Pro Tools works fine - just not with Slate plugins now. Although, when I first started this whole thing I got a bunch of authorization errors, including some for Pro Tools.
Regardless, not sure why this would even cause the issues I mentioned. However, when it does, all the licenses are there and everything seems to be fine. This is really a bummer because I have important sessions I need to wrap up.Īdditionally, now the iLok License Manager will sometimes just not load up. I can load sessions that don't use any of the plugins just fine, but when I try to load any Slate plugins up in those sessions, it's the same thing: Pro Tools freezes. Now when I try to load sessions that use Slate plugins, it'll freeze while loading (usually on the Virtual Tape Machines loading bar) and Pro Tools will become unresponsive. I've never had any issues with Slate plugins before but I just tried to download the new Monster plugin and somewhere between downloading it and installing the new iLok License Manager as per their instructions, everything has totally gone haywire. I have a monthly subscription to Slate's everything bundle.
